How to use Online Alarm Clock
Open the website and set the hour and minutes you want to be woken or reminded. Pick a sound and test it once, so you know the volume is right before you rely on it. Press Set and leave the tab open — minimized or in the background is fine.
When the time arrives, the sound plays until you stop it. That is the whole procedure. While you wait, the display shows the current time in large digital digits, and you can switch to a flip-style face if you prefer watching the seconds turn over.
When a browser beats the app on your phone
An alarm clock app lives on your phone, and your phone lives within arm's reach — which is exactly why so many people silence it half-asleep and drift off again. A laptop across the room forces you to stand up. A browser alarm also rescues you when the phone is dead, lost, or charging somewhere else, and it works on a borrowed computer where you are not allowed to install anything.
It is also simply less fuss for short naps at a desk: you set the alarm clock for twenty minutes ahead, turn the volume up, and close your eyes without unlocking anything. A good alarm is one you can hear. A great alarm is one you can hear and cannot reach without getting out of bed.
One tab, a whole set of time tools
The alarm is the front door, not the whole house. From this page you can open a timer that counts a fixed number of minutes down to zero, a stopwatch that counts up to the second, and a calculator for questions like how many days lie between two dates.
There are also countdowns to dates the whole world waits for. If you have ever wondered how many days are left until Christmas, the countdown clock on this site answers it live, in days, hours and minutes — and does the same for New Year, Halloween and the first day of each season. A world clock covers other cities and universal time, so the tab stays useful long after the alarm has done its job.
Why a browser instead of an installed app
An alarm clock app on your phone is fine when you own the phone. It is less useful on a shared computer, a work laptop where you cannot install software, a library machine, or someone else's desk. A browser page opens on any of them in a second and leaves nothing behind. There is no sign-up, no permissions dialog and no profile — you open the page, set the time, and close the tab when you are done.
Keeping it reliable
A few habits make any online alarm clock more dependable, whichever site you use: Check the volume before you rely on it, especially if headphones are plugged in. Make sure the computer is not set to sleep before your alarm time — a sleeping machine runs nothing.
Confirm the page shows the right current time; the alarm follows your device's clock. For something genuinely important, set a second alarm somewhere else too.
Questions and answers
- Will the alarm still ring if I close the tab?
- No. The page has to stay open — in the background or minimized is fine, closed is not. If the wake-up truly matters, keep a second alarm elsewhere as a backup.
- Can I use an online clock with alarm while working in other tabs?
- Yes. Set it, switch to whatever you are doing, and the sound will cut through when the time comes. Just make sure the tab and the system volume are not muted.
- Is there a countdown clock that shows how many days until Christmas?
- Yes — the Christmas countdown page counts the days, hours, minutes and seconds to December 25, and once the holiday passes it starts counting toward the next one.
How to use it
- Press SET ALARM and choose the hour and the minute you need.
- Pick a melody and, if you like, a message the page will show when it rings.
- Leave this tab open — the alarm lives in the browser, not on a server.
- When the time comes the page plays the sound and shows your message; snooze for 5 or 10 minutes with one button.
