Pick a start date and an end date, and the gap appears at once. The start field already holds today's date, read from your device clock — so if you came wondering what the date today is in mm/dd/yyyy, the US-style month-first answer is sitting right in the picker, and the day of the week comes with it. Typical gaps people measure: today to a project deadline, in plain days; a wedding or a trip, counted down week by week; a visa or return window — 90 days from entry, 30 days from purchase; two historical dates, just to settle an argument.

One date calculator, several kinds of honest

Days are the only unit that never argues. Months stretch from 28 to 31 days, so "one month apart" is a convention, not a measurement — January 31 plus a month has no perfect answer, while January 31 plus 30 days is a plain fact. The count here uses whole calendar days in your local time: cross a midnight and the number moves, whether that midnight happens in Los Angeles or in Lisbon. It does not race hours against a UTC clock, and it ignores sunrise and sunset times entirely — a day is a calendar day, dark or bright.
